REFURBISHMENT

At BTS Property Solutions, we offer internal and external refurbishment, variation and adaption services, including building use conversions and extensions, for residential, hospitality and commercial properties. Case study: IBIS Gatwick

BTS Property Solutions were appointed in summer 2022 to provide much needed refurbishments and upgrades to this strategically located, 182 room hotel, close to Gatwick Airport.

In addition to a full strip out and refit of the communal areas and bedrooms, a large number of structural repairs were required, including both substructure and superstructure works. The current double-barrelled roof is also being removed to provide an additional floor at high level, plus the introduction of an additional 41 bedrooms via infilling and extensions at lower levels.

Works include:

  • Strip-out of internal finishes, flooring and furnishings in communal areas and bedrooms
  • Demolition and renewal of concrete flooring to parking undercroft
  • Removal of double-barrel roof
  • Infill extension to lower level
  • Construction of additional floor at high level
  • Removal and replacement of external wall system.

Works commenced in September 2022, with demolition and strip out works well underway and with current works progress we are scheduled to complete the project in mid 2023.
