OUR APPROACH

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Ensuring the safeguarding of staff, residents, visitors and members of the public is our number one priority, and we work tirelessly to minimise risks on and around all our sites.

We carefully plan our safety measures for each site, ensuring our staff are fully trained and competent to carry out works safely.

Additionally, we are accredited SSIP members of CHAS and Construction (Gold) and were awarded a prestigious Gold Award from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in 2023 to recognise our efforts.

Sustainability And Environment

Ensuring sustainability and environmental protection is built into everything we do. From implementing zero waste to landfill policies and carbon reduction technologies at all our sites and offices to ensuring ethical procurement and working practices, we take every responsibility to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

In addition, we provide a suite of carbon reduction and environmental services for clients to assist them in achieving their own sustainability targets.

Supply Chain

In addition to our in-house specialists we hold an extensive supply chain of trusted specialist consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, who are experts in their fields. Each of our supply chain partners are carefully selected and assessed for their quality and compliance to assure successful project delivery.

We also work collaboratively with our supply chain to identify new and emerging technologies we can offer our clients, ensuring we are always offering innovation and best value.

Using a One Team approach for each project, we fully integrate each supply chain member into our delivery teams. So, whether services are delivered by BTS employees or by our supply chain, clients always receive the same high level of quality service delivery.

SOCIAL VALUE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We believe in providing lasting and meaningful benefits for the people and communities we work in.

Our dedicated teams of Resident Liaison and Social Value Officers work closely with clients, residents and local communities to understand what opportunities and engagement people need today and for the future, developing bespoke programmes of employment, training, education and engagement for each project.

On average we deliver a minimum 15% Social Value on Return (SORI) for each project and circa 55+% of our staff work on contracts within areas they live.
